FAQ's

 There are several ways.  You can go to your local Social Security office; call Social Security at 1 (800) 772-1213; or apply online.  See our Resources page to find the link with instructions to apply online:  (Resources Page)


 That depends on your situation.  Medicare eligibility starts when you turn 65 years old or are on Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) for 24 months. You may elect to defer your Medicare enrollment in favor of creditable Group Healthcare benefits from your employer, if there are at least 20 employees.  See our link to the Medicare “When to sign-up Test” here:  (Resources page)


 You can pay in a variety of ways.  If you receive Social Security retirement benefits, your premiums will be deducted from your monthly benefit check.  Be aware that Medicare’s default billing cycle is quarterly, so we recommend using “Easy Pay” to establish monthly payments from a bank account through the Medicare.gov website.
